Yes, a dependable, durable and secure job! One I could be sure that I wouldn't lose one day without warning!
That's most people's biggest concerns these days in the United States of America!
Companies got more hand than ever these days and they like it!! If it was already hard to get a job before, these days it's not easy to get a job at all anymore. As if candidate for employment's life wasn't already tough as it is, nowadays looking for a job is the biggest pain in the @$$!
There is the competition everywhere and with the advance of technology and the availability of the "work from home" jobs, sometimes it's even hard to get a job in your own hometown!
Companies have too many options and some of them can hire people anywhere in the world! People who get hired are sometimes somewhere in India, Japan, Philippines, and who knows where!
Most companies nowadays have an assessment test that you need to take online. In my opinion, it's a waste of time and they should pay people that spend an hour taking those tests. It's not at all efficient and it's obvious that people cheat! In the end, the ones who get hired are not at all up to do the work they were hired for. If any work whatsoever!
For companies these days, employees are pretty much disposable. If you make the smallest mistake, you can be easily replaced!
Whatever happened to the relationship between an individual and a corporation? What happened with being able to work for and retire from one single company?
What happened to being proud of working for a company and being respected and appreciated for what you did?
Is there such a thing as a stable job with good benefits anymore?
Organizations might not be too concerned about the way things are done in house but customers do get frustrated when they have to struggle to understand someone; sometimes a customer has already created a relationship with an employee and might not feel comfortable dealing with someone new, etc.
Employees have got to gain their respect back. And companies need to realize that it's more profitable for them to train a current reliable, honest and efficient employee, than get rid of him/her to hire an already well trained one.
