The proper operation of democratic government requires that public officials and employees be independent, impartial and responsible to the people. The ethical public official or employee accepts the responsibility that his or her mission is to be a servant and steward to the public. Therefore, decisions and policies must be made in the best interests of the people, the community and government.
Basically, no politician will come out and say exactly how they feel about this or that issue. They will say whatever pleases most people.
I can't help but wonder how things would be if they (politicians) started saying how they feel and we could vote on each politician for who they really are.
